Yesterday the Federation of Awarding Bodies Awards for 2016 winners were announced, and our partners at AIM Awards have been awarded Qualification of the year for the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX Skills. NextGen, industry employers and AIM Awards co-developed the Extended Diploma with co-investment from the UKCES and employers. The award is in recognition for allowing young people to develop exciting careers in the digital creative industries, whilst also providing employers with a dynamic talent pool of skilled individuals that will enable them to grow successful businesses. We're delighted that our partners at AIM Awards have been recognised by their peers!
The partnership between AIM Awards, NextGen Skills Academy and employers that developed the Extended Diploma continues. Employers including Double Negative, Framestore, Bluezoo, The Imaginarium, Centroid 3D, and Ubisoft participated in this month's working group to propose improvements to the qualification for 2017 onwards. Double Negative founder Alex Hope comments - "The bar has been set high with this award - as a NextGen supporter and employer I look forward to the partnership with AIM Awards maintaining this standard of excellence."
