Eight companies want to recruit for a mix of Assistant Technical Director and Junior 2D Artist roles at Framestore, DNEG, Bluezoo, Molinare, One Of Us, The Mill, Jellyfish Pictures, and Electric Theatre Collective.
The employers have chosen Westminster Kingsway College as their training partner and vacancies will shortly be announced on the National Apprenticeship Service. But you can start your application for the January 2019 intake now!
VFX Apprenticeships are a suitable entry route for a wide range of talent, but there are a couple of limits to consider before applying. If you already have a university degree in Visual Effects you are not eligible for a VFX Apprenticeship. That’s because of the rules around funding of Apprenticeships set by the UK Government. VFX Apprenticeship are entry level jobs, they lead on to junior roles. It’s unlikely that an employer will invite a non-UK resident to interview for pre-junior roles, just because of the travel and potential relocation costs involved.
You can check out tips on preparing for your application on the How to apply page, which also has the link to the online application form. Please read the tips and advice first before applying! Closing date for applications is now midnight on the 19th November.
