Middlesbrough College invite all games developers to take part in the Global Games Jam 2020!

The NextGen team at Middlesbrough College are inviting all games developers to join them for the Global Games Jam 2020, the world’s largest game jam event!

Middlebrough College, one of only 31 Global Games Jam sites in the UK, is opening its state-of-the-art facilities from 31st January to 2nd February to all local jammers who want to take on the challenge of creating a game within a 48-hour development cycle.

The theme of this year’s jam will be announced on the Friday afternoon, then all sites worldwide are challenged to make games based on that theme by Sunday afternoon. This is an amazing opportunity to test your skills, learn new ones, explore the process of games development, increase confidence and meet others in your local community.  

How to get involved

The Global Games Jam 2020 takes place from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February. It is free to enter and open to everyone aged 18+. Middlesbrough College will be open for the full 48-hour period. To take part you must register via the link below to take part.

The last Global Games Jam saw developers in 860 locations in 113 countries create 9,010 games in one weekend.
